PURPOSE: User interface device and method thereof are provided to drive a touch panel and a display device in a digital mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: User interface device of a digital mobile communication terminal includes a mobile terminal modem chip(120). A display device selector receives an output signal of a general purpose record signal output terminal(GP_WR) included to the mobile terminal modem chip, converts the output signal into a display device enable signal. A display device module includes a terminal for inputting the enable signal generated from the display device selector; a terminal for inputting a selection signal of a command data/display data generated from a general purpose input/output terminal of the mobile terminal modem chip; and a terminal for receiving a command data or a display data transmitted from the mobile terminal modem chip through the same data bus according to the command data/display data selection signal.
