PURPOSE: A cathode driving circuit of electric-field emission display is provided to guarantee normal operation of a cathode driving circuit by setting initial voltage between drain and source of NMOS transistor. CONSTITUTION: The display comprises electric-field emission element having Anode, cathode and gate, current source consist of high voltage MOS element and low voltage MOS element make current path between the cathode and ground according to data signal and control signal form external, the current source locates lower of the cathode, and initial means for setting initial value of drain and source of the low voltage MOS element. Thereby it is possible to prevent flow of over-current momentary when data is provided.
