APPARATUS USED AS BOTH ROUTER AND MULTIPLEXER IN DIGITAL TRS

PURPOSE: Apparatus used as both a router and multiplexer in a digital truncated radio system(TRS) removes HSU card of router and multiplexer connected to a base station and a switching station, and integrates the router and multiplexer as one body. CONSTITUTION: Address checker(10) checks an address of the input signal. A routing table comparator(18) compares an address of the input data being input in response to a self-memorized routing table. A head inserting part(12) inserts a head to a data. A data separator(14) performs two 64Kbps data separation. A time slot controller(20) receives an input signal from WAN card of the multiplexer, and generates a time slot being set for a control data. A transmitter has a data inserting part(16) which loads a data to a specific time clot and transmits the data through T1/E1 link. A data extractor(40) for extracting the data. A time slot controller(42) controls a data extraction from the data extraction part(40). A data reproducing part(44) performs a reproduction to an original one data. Address checker(46) checks a data address. A routing table comparator(48) compares the data address with an address of a routing table. A header inserting part(50) inserts a header of the next destination. A sector controller(52) performs a control to transmit/receive a control information to the switching station in case of a base station. An ethernet hub(54) is used to transmit/receive the control information to the base station. A router/multiplexer(56) outputs a data to a destination through T1/E1 link by performing a routing function and a multiplexing function.
