PURPOSE: A preferred channel displayer of a television is provided to automatically seek a channel preferred by a user by displaying the memorized preferred channel using an OSD screen. CONSTITUTION: A preferred channel displayer of a television comprises: a counter1(45) to count the duration of a selected channel; set up hour part(50); a comparator1(55) to deliver the watching period to a microcomputer(80) if the counted period is over the set up hour after comparing the watching period counted by the counter1 with the set up hour stored in the set up hour part; a memory part(60) to add continuously and store the watching period, channel number, watching time area of a channel exceeding the set up hour; a timer part(65) to deliver watching time area of the memorized channel to the memory part; a counter2(70); and a microcomputer(80) controlling to output the watched channel on a OSD screen if the channel selected in a comparator2(75) is not agreed with the channel watched for long time.
