MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY TO HUMAN INTERLEUKIN-18, HYBRIDOMA CELL LINE PRODUCING THE SAME, AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING HYBRIDOMA CELL LINE

摘要

PURPOSE: A monoclonal antibody to human interleukin-18 (IL-18), hybridoma cell line producing the antibody, and a process for producing the hybridoma cell line are provided. Human interleukin-18 induces various inflammations or incurable diseases. CONSTITUTION: Hybridoma cell lines are obtained by fusing a myeloma cell and a mouse spinal cell immunized against human IL-18 or human pro-IL-18. Monoclonal antibodies are massively produced from a hybridoma cell line, which specifically reacts with human IL-18 or human pro-IL-18. A cell expressing IL-18 can be easily detected by using the monoclonal antibody and the hybridoma cell line, thus various inflammations or incurable diseases induced by IL-18 can be diagnosed.
