PURPOSE: A polyester film and production method thereof is provided to offer the superior lamination processing quality with a film made from other resin and a metal plate without special post-processing such as coating an adhesive due to the superior heat-adhesiveness and mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION: A polyester film comprises: the 1st film layer having a degree of crystallinity of over 40%, also having the 1st polyester resin, made from over 90wt% of a repeated unit of ethylene terephthalate, whose melting point is 240-260°C and whose limit point is 0.55-0.75desiliter/g,; the 2nd film layer having under 13% of a degree of crystallinity formed in a certain side of the 1st film layer, also having the 2nd polyester resin, made from 88:12-76:24 wt% of a unit of ethylene isophthalate, whose melting point is 190-215°C.
