PURPOSE: A cylindrical coalescer type liquid separator formed an ion generating electrode at the upper part of a cylindrical charge electrode to be removable is provided which reduces the running cost of processing facilities such as a cooling system and drainage treatment apparatus. CONSTITUTION: The separator comprises an external barrel earth electrode(1) served as a body container and a cylindrical electrode formed plural liquid passing holes(2), a central pipe type electrode(4), a liquid separating space(5) formed between the external barrel earth electrode(1) and the central pipe type electrode(4), a cylindrical coalescer type filter element(6) formed the size of filter hole toward the exterior by stages, a cylindrical charge electrode(7) allocated close to the peripheral surface of the cylindrical coalescer type filter element(6), and an ion generating electrode(8) placed at the upper part of a cylindrical charge electrode to be removable for generating positive metal ion.
