PURPOSE: A temperature compensation circuit is provided to detect the rising of the temperature of a battery and the system according to the use of the battery and the system and to modulate the input pressure by the detected result. CONSTITUTION: A charging circuit of a portable electronic device comprises: a battery; a charging current supply part to modulate the charging current in a battery charge; a battery temperature detection part(190) to sense the temperature of the battery and to generate an output signal corresponding to the temperature of the battery; and a temperature compensation control part to control the charging current supply part to reduce the charging current corresponding to the temperature of the battery if the temperature of the battery is over a certain standard temperature.
