PURPOSE: An optic scanner is provided to result in miniaturization of unit. CONSTITUTION: The optic scanner minimizes performance deterioration caused by lens fabrication error and unit arrangement error and makes a distance between a deflection surface and a scanned surface relatively shorter than that of a conventional optical system. A scanning optical device, which comprises a first scan lens having a positive refraction angle and a second scan lens having a negative refraction angle, polarizes beam radiated from a light source through an image-determination optical system to a rotation polygon mirror and determines an image on the scanned surface through a scan lens system.
