PURPOSE: A method for fabricating liquid crystal display devices is provided to decrease signal delay. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises forming plural gate lines on a glass substrate, forming a gate insulating layer to cover the gate lines, and forming plural data lines perpendicularly crossing the gate lines, wherein the step of forming a gate insulating layer includes coating a front face of the substrate, having the gate lines, with silica sol of a predetermined viscosity in a spin coating manner, and drying the silica sol in a ultracritical condition by use of an autoclave.
