PURPOSE: A gas cooker for grilling is provided to prevent a grilling plate from overheating. CONSTITUTION: The gas cooker has:a grilling plate(3) installed a case to be supported; a pilot nozzle(5) supplying relatively low heat capacity to the grilling plate; a main nozzle(7) supplying high heat capacity to the grilling plate by exhausting relatively abundant gas that is stored in a gas tank(T); an igniter(8) igniting pilot heat by turning on an ignition switch(S1); a pilot flame sensor(9) sensing if there is ignition; a gas regulator(11) controlling the direction of gas flow; and a control unit(10) working the gas regulator.
