HIGH RIGIDITY CARBON FIBER AND PREPARING METHOD OF CARBON-CARBON COMPOSITE USEFUL AS FRICTION MATERIALS

PURPOSE: A carbon-carbon composite is prepared which has a good anti-wearing property, not necessary heat-treatment at high temperature. CONSTITUTION: Boric acid solution is impregnated in the carbon fiber, which is dried in a heated air dryer. The dried carbon fiber is heat-treated to give the anti-wearing and low strength carbon fiber, and cut a constant length, mixed with a pitch. Obtained compound is laminated and molded by a press to give a green body. The green body is heat-treated at high temperature, and impregnated with the pitch, followed by the carbonization to give the carbon-carbon composite.
