PURPOSE: A plasma display panel driving method is provided to prevent erroneous discharge. CONSTITUTION: The plasma display panel driving method comprises applying a voltage of a constant level to a second sustain electrode corresponding to a first sustain electrode in order to prevent surplus charges from being produced when an address discharge is generated between the first sustain electrode and an address electrode. By the method, a voltage of a constant level is applied to a Z sustain electrode in an address period and a production of the unessential charges in a cell is prevented, and thus an erroneous discharge owing to an unessential charge is prevented.
