PURPOSE: A plasma display panel driving device is provided to reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: The plasma display panel driving device comprises: a level detecting circuit(6) for a voltage level of a received image signal; a sub-field order controller(18) for controlling the order of a sub-field in response to a detected level value by the detecting circuit; a drive frequency controller(20) for controlling a drive frequency in response to the detected level value by the detecting circuit. Thereby power consumption is reduced, a noise is reduced, and brightness and quality are improved.
