PURPOSE: A STN(Super Twisted Nematic) liquid crystal display device is provided to reduce a right and left asymmetry of contrast ratio of LCD. CONSTITUTION: A STN liquid crystal display device is comprised of; a upper or lower liquid crystal substrate having a common electrode; a cell gap formed spacer between the upper and lower liquid crystal substrate; and a liquid crystal injected the cell gap. As a compensation for change of ITO resistor and cell gap, a right and left asymmetry of contrast ratio of LCD is reduced. As a result, a area of the STN liquid crystal display is increased.
