POWER CHARGER DETECTING DEVICE OF A ROBOT CLEANER AND DETECTING METHOD

PURPOSE: A power charger detecting device of a robot cleaner is provided to charge electricity automatically by detecting the location of the power charger, using CCD camera. CONSTITUTION: A power charger detecting device of a robot cleaner comprises; a CCD camera driving part(115) to take pictures of the environment of the cleaning area by driving a CCD camera; a camera motor driving part to run the camera; a charged power detecting part to detect the charged electricity of the traveling robot; a control part to control the CCD camera driving part and the camera motor driving part and to take a picture of the charger when the cleaning is started and to take pictures of the environment of the cleaning area by turning the CCD camera by specified degree of an angle when a signal requesting a power charge is inputted or when the cleaning is over and to detect the location of the power charger by comparing the picture taken by turning the CCD camera by specified degree of an angle and the picture of the charger taken when the cleaning was started.
