PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material improved in the preservability and the coating failure of a hardener soln. SOLUTION: The hardener soln. contg. a compd. represented by formula CH2=CHSO2-R1-SO2CH=CH2 and a compd. having a sulfonic acid group in the relation of 0.01<=(the compd. having a sulfonic acid/the compd. represented by the formula)<=1.0 in molar ratio is preserved and added through an in-line at the time of coating to produce the objective silver halide photographic sensitive material. In the formula, R1 is optionally an alkylene or a substd. alkylene as a divalent combining group and may have an amido, ether or thio-ether combining part in the combining group.
