PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an image data record without making it a rendering preparation form for video display by grasping a series of incident light on a sensor of a camera, recording an image sequence as full-width image data, processing the full-width image data and giving a film-shaped output image sequence. SOLUTION: Three photoelectric sensors (CCD) 40 respectively convert each color component separated by a color separation prism 30 into an electronic signal. Three analog signal processors (ASP) 50 respectively receive electronic signals from the CCDs 40 and carry out plural processing functions such as channel amplification and gain on the analog signal. Three analog/digital converters (A/D) 60 respectively receive signals from the ASPs 50 and convert each signal into a digital form. All of the digital signals from the A/Ds 60 are processed by a digital signal processor(DSP) 70 and a lossless compressor 110 and are stored as full-width image data in a digital recorder 120.
