Detecting excessive fluid consumption due to leaks in fluid supply system, uses a flow sensor in a twin chamber electro-valve

Detection of excessive consumption is determined with respect to a programmed time since the start of fluid flow using a membrane type electro-valve (4) fitted into the fluid supply pipe (3). The valve (4) has two chambers one (5) of which is lower in relation to a part (3a) of the pipe (3) and the other (6) higher than a part of the pipe (3b). The two chambers are separated by a membrane (7) which can move between two positions. One blocks the flow of fluid through the lower chamber, the other allows fluid to flow through the lower chamber. At the input of the chamber the creation of fluid flow is detected by a flow sensor. When the excessive fluid flow duration time reaches the programmed time visual and/or sound alarms and/or fluid flow interruption are triggered.
