PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic liquid developer exerting no adverse influence on an environment and capable of developing at a high speed by imparting sufficient chargeability to a toner in an yellow electrophotographic liquid developer capable of coping with the formation of a full color image. SOLUTION: In an electrophotographic liquid developer by dispersing a toner in an electrically insulating carrier liquid, the electrophotographic liquid developer contains one or two or more of an oil soluble ionic surfectant having an alkyl group having the carbon number not less than 20 and a copolymer of a monomer having a nitrogen containing group and long chain acrylate or long chain methacrylate as an electric charge control agent, and has the toner containing a compound and/or its derivative classified into PY180 or a compound and/or its derivative classified into SY162 as a coloring agent.
