PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for an AC power source for freely setting an installation place by connecting a battery to a neon tube, and letting the neon tube emit light by supplying electricity from this battery. SOLUTION: A lightning function 10 is provided in a signboard main body 1. The lightning function 1 comprises of a neon tube 11, a battery 12, an inverter transformer 13, and a timer switch 14. The battery 12 may be attached to the outside of the signboard main body 1. And, electricity is supplied from the battery 12 to the neon tube 11 for making it emit light and exert its advertisement function. Since the neon tube emits light by being supplied with an AC, each neon tube 11 is provided with one inverter transformer 13 to transform the DC into AC. Moreover, a timer switch 14 serving as a timer for setting a lightening time and a turn-off time of the neon tube is interposed between the neon tube 11 and the battery 12.
