PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal projection type display device capable of easily and rapidly performing picture adjustment on a display screen. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a projection unit 1 incorporating a liquid crystal panel for displaying a picture and projecting light transmitted through the liquid crystal panel to the outside through a projection lens 1c, and a unit supporting base 2 supporting the unit 1 so that it can rotate around the optical axis C of the lens 1c and can be tilted on a plane including the optical axis C. The rotating position of a rotary table 22 on the base 2 and the tilt angle and the height of the table 23 are adjusted so as to perform the picture adjustment on the display screen where the display picture on the liquid crystal panel is enlarged and displayed by radiating projected light from the unit 1.
