PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high capacity secondary battery positive electrode with improved conductivity. SOLUTION: Using a positive electrode material, which is a porous sintered product consisting of lithium cobaltate doped with Mg and provided with a molar rate Mg/Co between Mg and Co ranging from 0.01/0.99 to 0.10/0.90, the positive electrode material is sintered after being molded into a predetermined shape, and then the sintered product is used as a positive electrode. In this case, preferably the porosity of the sintered product ranges from 15% to 60% of its entire volume. |
