PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can recognize a correction part by making the print mode of the correction part different from that of the other parts. SOLUTION: Printing data generated by an application of a host device is outputted to a new data memory 51 and is supplied to a comparator 52 from this memory. Printing data registered in a storage device 53 is data before correction of print data; and when a file name is designated to indicate read to a read/write control part 55, printing data registered in an original data memory 54 is read out from the storage device 53, and this data is supplied to the comparator 52, and both data are compared with each other, and a non-coincident part of both data is supplies to corresponding printing heads of yellow(Y), magenta(M), and cyan(C) through a transfer circuit 'different' and is printed in color. Meanwhile, a coincident part of both data is supplies to a printing head of black(BK) through a transfer circuit 'same' and is monochromatically printed on a form by a printer engine. |
