摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery, high in capacity and superior in load characteristic and cycle characteristic, by constituting a negative electrode material as a lithium-ion storage material, out of substantially amorphous oxide particles capable of storing/discharging lithium ions, and causing the material to include therewithin a specific amount of fine grains of a metal and/or alloy which does not react with lithium. SOLUTION: Preferably, the amount of fine grains of a metal or alloy added is not less than 0.1 wt.% and not more than 30.0 wt.% of the weight of grains of an oxide, an especially preferably, not less than 2.0 wt.% and not more than 10.0 wt.%. Preferably, the size is of the average grains size of 10 nm or less. For the fine grains of the metal or alloy used, it is necessary to select a metal and/or an alloy which does not react with lithium and has high melting point as such the metals, titanium (Ti), iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (Tu), and the like can be cited.
