PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tap switching device by which tap positions can be increased without increasing the number of contacts. SOLUTION: A first rotating disc 52 is provided with two protrusions 541 and 542. A second rotating disc 52K is provided with only one protrusion 54K2. Through a first gear 56 is driven twice between the maximum and the minimum taps, a second Geneva gear 56K is driven only once. Accordingly, the second Geneva gear 56K is never detached from the fixed contacts by an auxiliary changing means. In this way, the number of tap positions can be increased by making the best possible use of the set fixed contacts.
