PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detachably retain a disk drive capable of hot plug without needing dismantling and assembling of components. SOLUTION: When a carrying structure 60 holding a disk drive 20 is slidably inserted in a cage structure, an SCA connector on a drive is releasably engaged with a corresponding electric back connector 48 in the cage structure. Side wall parts 92, 94 of the carrying structure are capable of sliding motion moored and held so as to approach and recede from a side edge part of a bottom plate, and a pair of fixing screws are moored and held. When the side wall parts are at an outside sliding motion position, the disk drive is mounted on the bottom plate. The side wall parts are slidingly moved to the inside, and the fixing screws are aligned to screwed apertures in the facing side wall of a drive and tightened. At the time of detaching, reverse operation may be performed.
