PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cushion plate from bending at reflow without cost increases for improved mounting factor by allowing the ratio between the diameter of an exposed part of the lower surface of a sealing body which is not covered by the periphery of an opening part of a metal case and that above the metal case. SOLUTION: An aluminum electrolytic capacitor comprises a capacitor body 11 and a cushion plate, and as for the capacitor body 11, a capacitor element 14 is housed in a bottomed cylindrical metal case 13 wherein an upper part is closed. The lower opening part of the metal case 13 is sealed with a sealing body 15 while a pair of electrode terminals 16 and 17 draw outside from the capacitor element 14 through the sealing body 15. Here, a ratio K/D between a diameter D of the metal case 13 of the capacitor body 11 and a diameter K of an exposed part of the sealing body 15 is 0.55-0.80. The diameter D of the metal case 13 is 10 mm or less.
