PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the overshoot of a head position by outputting prescribed state estimating values while respectively making inputs to a head position detecting means, a coarse actuator and a fine actuator inputs and also correcting the output of the coarse controller and the output of a fine controller based on the state estimating values. SOLUTION: A state estimator 1 outputs the moving speed of a coarse actuator 51 as a state estimating value and a correcting means 2 is provided with a coarse compensator 3 which corrects the state estimating value to make it a correction portion with respect to the output of the coarse controller and a fine compensator 4 which corrects the state estimating value to make it a correction portion with respect to the fine controller. The coarse compensator 3 and the fine compensator 4 respectively have different compensation conditions to correct the output of the state estimator 1. The output of the coarse compensator 3 is added to the output of a coarce controller 55 to become the input to the coarse actuator 51 and it is fed back to the state estimator 1.
