PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set with a PHS function by integrating a PHS function and a portable telephone set function through shared use of components, with a carrying sensation nearly equal to that of single body of a conventional portable telephone set, and to utilize advantages of both types of telephone sets. SOLUTION: Transmission reception function components of a personal handy phone system PHS and a portable telephone set are mounted on a portable telephone set so as to activate reception functions of both the telephone functions at the same time. Components able to be shared for both the telephone functions are used and a changeover switch selects either of the PHS and the portable telephone set functions.
