PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile equipment for discriminating tone signals sent from an opposite party during voice transmission from voice signals, detecting them with high accuracy and providing various kinds of functions. SOLUTION: At recording of a voice message, this facsimile equipment 1 amplifies the voice signals of the voice message inputted from a microphone 8 in a microphone amplifier 9 and then, inputs them into a band-pass filter 10, a changeover part 11 and a band detection part 12. The band-pass filter 10 removes the frequency components of detection tone signals such as CNG signals from the voice signals, and the band detection part 12 detects whether or not the frequency components of the detection tone signals are included in the voice signals. A control part 15 makes the changeover part 11 output the voice signals from the microphone amplifier 9 to a voice synthesis part 13, while the frequency components of the detection tone signals are not included, and when the band detection part 12 detects that the frequency components of the detection tone signals are included, makes it output the voice signals from the band-pass filter 10 to the voice synthesis part 13 only for a prescribed time after the lapse of the prescribed time after the detection, encodes them in the voice synthesis part 13 and makes it stores them in a voice storage part 14.
