PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a ventilating structure to a corona discharge device, and to enhance a ventilating effect in the vicinity of an end block. SOLUTION: In an image forming device having a photoreceptor 12, a corona discharge unit 13 for electrifying this, an exposing unit 18 and a developing unit 14 for turning up a latent image formed by an exposure, the corona discharge unit 13 has lengthwise directional ventilating passages 131g, 131h in the end block 131. A gas feeder 60 for feeding gas is also provided in the ventilating passages 131g, 131h from the outside of the end block 131. The ventilating passages 131g, 131h contain the main passage 131g communicating with an opening 131e for penetrating a discharge wire 134 and the sub-passage 131h communicating with an opening 131f opposed to a void between the photoreceptor 12 and an electrifying grid 137.
