<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and lightened tape cartridge for a recording/ reproducing device loaded/used for the recording/reproducing device and stably controlling a tape to a prescribed running speed. SOLUTION: This tape cartridge is constituted so that an operation circuit 11 reads out a count value per second answering to an integrated count value from a ROM 17 based on a rotational speed of a take-up reel 3 detected by a photointerrupter 7 provided on the take-up reel 3 and an optical sensor 6 to operate a time signal, and a rotation control circuit 12 operates the running speed of the tape 6 with detection signals of sensors 13a, 13b, and controls the rotational speeds of the take-up reel 3 and a feeding reel 5 with an output of a control signal Fc so that the running speed of the tape 6 becomes a prescribed value. Thus, a capstan motor enlarging a whole is eliminated, and the tape 6, a drum 2, the take-up reel 3, the feeding reel 5 and a control drive system are housed in the small-sized tape cartridge 1 attachable/detachable on the recording/reproducing device, and proper servo control is started instantly at a loading time, and the running speed of the tape 6 is set in the prescribed value always and precisely in a short time.</p> |
