PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a diversity antenna system which is not affected adversely by noise by calculating the ratio of the total of distances from the means to the total of distances of levels of all signals from a set value and setting branch weights according to the reciprocal of the ratio. SOLUTION: Signals from respective receiving devices 4 are sent to a delay line 6 with respective taps. At the respective taps, the signal is weighted with individual weights W1L and WML through a weight setting means 8 and the weighted signals are totalized by a sum totalizer 12. Then the ratio of the total of distances from the means to the total of distances from the set level to the levels of all the signals is calculated. The total value itself obtained by the sum totalizer 12 is weighted with the weight W1S and WMS in an weighted setting device 2b and totalized by a sum totalizer 28. The weight are proportional to the reciprocals of the goodness ratios to respective branches. Then the weights are so set as to match with the measured channel condition of respective branches.
