PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the storage characteristic and a cycle life characteristic of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery provided with a positive electrode principally consisting of lithium-manganese composite oxide. SOLUTION: As a catching agent catching a manganese constituent dissolved into a positive electrode mix, one or more kinds of substances selected from among lithium phosphate, lithium tungstate, lithium silicate, aluminite, lithium borate, lithium molybdate, and cation ion exchange resin are contained. Preferably, the catching agent catching manganese is added at a ratio of 0.1-10% of the weight of a positive electrode active material. |
