PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolyte, having a uniform thickness, resisting internal short-circuiting, and having a structure not hindering ionic conduction, and a solid electrolyte battery using the same. SOLUTION: A solid electrolyte is made up by causing a mesh-like carrier 1 without electronic conductivity to coexist with an electrolyte. The mesh-like carrier 1 has a plurality of linear fibers 2 crossing one another to form meshes, the line diameter r of the fibers 2 is 1 to 500 μm, and an opening 1 of each mesh made by the fibers 2 crossing one another is 1 to 500 μm. |
