<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a spherical polyester black toner having the excellent grain size distribution. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method for forming particles (b) dispersed in a liquid medium as dry powder by forming the coloring agent containing spherical particles (b) by successively associating particulates (a) after forming the coloring agent containing particulates (a) by mixing, agitating and emulsifying a mixture (c) using a coloring agent, an acid radical containing polyester resin and a hydrophobic organic solvent capable of dissolving or dispersing the polyester resin as an essential component and an aqueous medium by the high shearing action under the presence of a neutralizer, it is effective in simultaneously using carbon black and phthalocyanine as the coloring agent. However, more desirably, mill bases are respectively separately made of the acid radical containing polyester resin and the hydrophobic organic solvent capable of dissolving or dispersing the polyester resin on the carbon black and the phthalocyanine, and these are blended and used as the mixture (c) to obtain a polyester black toner having the more excellent grain size distribution.</p> |
