PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate matters incapable of correcting the movement of an image plane due to secular change or thermal expansion and to prevent malfunc tion that something other than a main subject such as a background is brought into focus even in the case of zooming from a wide angle side to a telephoto side. SOLUTION: In zooming, a correction value is calculated from a focal distance and a ditance to the subject by a microcomputer 6, and a correction lens group 15 is moved to a target point in accordance with the correction value. When the lens group 15 is moved to the vicinity of the target point, an autofocusing evaluated value is detected and the lens group 15 is moved to a point where the autofocusing evaluated value is maximum. When the autofocusing evaluated value is under a fixed value, the lens group 15 is moved in accordance with the calculated correction value. |
