PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an appropriate angle of view in the same manner as a silver halide camera without making a body large by making object light that is made incident through a photographic lens reflect against a quick return mirror and to turn to an image pickup device through a relay lens optical system. SOLUTION: A body 20 is formed by utilizing the body of a silver halide single-lens reflex camera and has an image pickup unit 22. A quick return mirror M1 which turns an optical path from a photographic lens 301 by 90 deg. upwards so as to direct into the unit 22 is provided in a body main part 20A through a pivoting part 24 in a turnable way. Also, a fixed mirror M2 is provided in the unit 22 and a CCD 303 that is an image pickup device is arranged at the back of the optical path direction of the mirror M2. In this camera, the CCD 303 is arranged at the position of a finder means and object light that is made incident through the lens 301 is reflected by the mirror M1 and is turned to the CCD 303 through a relay lens optical system.
