PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector of high reliability in the electric connection capable of surely fixing a terminal with the small number of pieces of components, by the integrated outer housing and inner housing inserted into the outer housing, and surely fixing the electric wire. SOLUTION: An electric connector comprises an outer housing 4 expandable around a front wall 6, and an inner housing 60 is inserted into the outer housing 4 from the direction A. The grooves 64, 66 of the inner housing 60 are engaged with the projections 24, 26 of the outer housing 4 to prevent the slipping-off in the pulling direction of the electric wire 2. The tongue pieces 20, 22 are folded to the electric wire 2 side to relieve the stress. The outer housing 4 and the inner housing 60 are assembled by the engagement means 20a, 22a, 32, 34, 68, 70, 72.
