PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cylindrical body capable of always accurately maintaining a rotary position in spite of long-term use in a cylindrical body for supporting the rotary position by bringing a roller into pressure contact with it. SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer 22 is arranged on the outside surface of a cylindrical base body 21 composed of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, a hard coat thin film is formed in the roller pressure contact parts 23 of both end parts of the cylindrical base body 21, and the ratio of Vickers hardness H of the hard coat thin film to Vickers hardness R of the cylindrical base body 21 is constituted so as to satisfy a condition of 4.0<=H/R<=8.5.
