PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectroscope which enables measuring of light with a wider wavelength range containing those to higher diffracted light without lowering wavelength resolving power of light. SOLUTION: This spectroscope is provided with a light filter having filters F1 and F2 adapted to selectively transmit primary diffracted light and higher diffracted light multiplied by an integer to enable measurement of the light 2 admitted into a diffraction grating 5 by changing the light incident into the diffraction grating 5 properly switching the filters F1 and F2.
