PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipolar connector for connecting the multi-conductor cables having elasticity in the radius direction. SOLUTION: In a multipolar connector 1 including a cable receptacle 2 having a strand 7 for the axial contact of a free end having an assigned contact spike of a contact piece held in a channel by the clamping force by a continuous coupling means guided by the axial parallel channel 8 of the cable receptacle, and the contact piece, the receptacle 2 includes a strand table 5 and a terminal mounting portion. The strand table 5 comprises a fixed fastening plate 15 opposite to the terminal mounting portion and a fastening plate 11 for evenly and immovably fastening all the strands to the tensile movement. The terminal mounting portion has the elasticity for evenly generating the radiation pressure to the periphery of the spike inserted and contacted to the outer peripheral portion by the pressing. By applying this structure, the considerably simple multipolar connector can be provided. Simultaneously, the fastening for preventing the upset of the strand is performed near a contact zone.
