SOLUTION: Plural ring-like notches or spiral notches are put at an elastic member constituting the outer peripheral part of a conductive roll for transfer such as a back-up roll 29 and a transfer roll, a current is made to hardly flow in the axial direction at the time of transferring toner, the sneak path of the current is eliminated and the distorsion of an outer peripheral surface member is reduced so that the density unevenness of the toner is reduced at this conductive roller for transfer.
