PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to execute settlement even when an amount to be settled exceeds the range of electronic (E) money stored in an IC card and to surely recover its lacking amount. SOLUTION: Even when E money M stored in an IC card 16 lacks of an amount to be settled at the time of its settlement, the lacking amount B is stored in the IC card 16 and the amount to be settled is settled by the IC card 16 under a condition that the identification(ID) data C of the IC card 16 and the lacking amount B should be acquired. The stored lacking amount B is added to the amount to be settled next, the amount to which the lacking amount B is added is regarded as an amount to be settled, and when the ID data C of the IC card 16 and the lacking amount B are acquired and the existence of the lacking amount B is cleared, the lacking amount B can be surely recovered. |
