PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital radio equipment that detects distortion caused in a power amplifier and to prevent the occurrence of this distortion. SOLUTION: This digital radio equipment is provided with modulation means 36, 62 that AM-modulate a local oscillation signal with a monitor signal fluctuated for a period, a demodulation means 46 that AM-demodulates an outputted high frequency signal, and a distortion detection means 68 that compares the monitor signal with a monitor signal component demodulated by the demodulation means 46 to detect distortion. Thus, the means 68 can detect distortion developed in a power amplifier 42. When the distortion detection means 68 detects distortion, a variable attenuator 40 attenuates a high frequency signal applied to the power amplifier 42. |
