PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a camera for which diopter adjustment and focusing for photographing are performed and which is structurally made small in size and light in weight by adjusting the initial position of the focusing lens of a photographing optical system to a position in accordance with information from a diopter recording means. SOLUTION: If a user looking in a finder is far-sighted or near-sighted, a diopter setting mode for providing a clearly observed image is materialized by optimally adjusting diopter functions by switching a mode with a mode switch 95. In the diopter setting mode, the optimum diopter inherent to the user is set by manual operation by using a zoom switch 90. Namely, by depressing the (+) or (-) button of the switch 90, the diopter state inherent to the user is set by finely adjusting the lens 10, and the set individual focusing state is stored in a memory circuit 70. By the 1st releasing operation of a release switch 80, range-finding is performed and the lens 10 is held in the middle between a focusing position on a final film surface 35 and an individual initial position. |
