PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphoric acid type fuel cell power generating system capable of continuing rated operation, even if the concentration of hydrocarbon contained in raw fuel gas is varied. SOLUTION: In a phosphoric acid type fuel cell power generating system, having a fuel cell stack 22 for generating power by the reaction of hydrogen contained in reformed gas with oxygen contained in air, a second fuel cell stack 27 having the power generating capacity smaller than the fuel cell stack 22 is arranged, part of the reformed gas for supplying to the fuel stack 22 is supplied to the second fuel cell stack 27 so as to enhance the fuel utilization factor to be higher than that of the fuel cell stack 22, and the flow rate of the raw fuel gas is adjusted so that the cell voltage of the second fuel cell stack 27 becomes a specified value. |
