PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting display reduced in power required for driving, having a cost merit, and suitable for enlarging a panel, by determining scanning order of scanning lines according to input image data. SOLUTION: A matrix display panel 7 is constituted of anode lines (driving lines) and cathode lines (scanning lines) intersecting each other and light emitting elements located at their intersections. An image data storage means 6 stores input image data in one frame unit. A control circuit 5 determines scanning order of the scanning lines according to an image data of one frame unit sent from the image data storage means 6, and also drives negative line scanning circuit 1 and a positive line driving circuit 2 so that the scanning lines are scanned in accordance with the determined scanning order. And, after scanning an arbitrary scanning line, the control circuit determines the next scanning line so that the driving lines unchanged in the driven state are increased in the number as many as possible. In such a manner, it is possible to reduce the power consumption. |
