OPTICAL CONNECTOR FERRULE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector ferrule for imparting a filter function to an optical connector by an inexpensive method. SOLUTION: This optical connector ferrule consists of a ferrule body 1 including a front 1a end having an optical fiber insertion hole and a rear end 1b having an optical fiber fixing groove 1c aligned to the optical fiber insertion hole in axis and a short-sized optical fiber 2. In such a case, the optical connector ferrule is inserted and fixed with the short-sized optical fiber 2 from the optical fiber insertion hole of the ferrule body to a portion in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber fixing groove 1c and is formed with a dielectric filter 3 at the end face of either one side of the short-sized optical fiber 2.
